Default Blood test results...

I'm looking at my paper that I got back from my doctor it says "In Range" 1.38 then on the other side it says "Reference Range 0.40-5.50 mIU/L.

They found Nodules on from a sonogram on my throat. I wonder if everything is okay, since my blood work came back in normal range? The nodules I have are very small, my PCP wants me to go to a specialist to make sure I'm okay. What do you think from my blood work numbers?

your tsh is a good normal number BUT it doesnt look like he ran free t3 or free t4 right? those really show whats truly going on. also did he run antibody testing??? these are all VERY VERY important to dxing whats going on. there are some very smart people at www.thyroid.about.com who can help even more and have more experience with nodules than i do. please push to get these other tests done okay? xo jenn

ps where in ny do you live?

I don't know if they ran the other tests...the only number that I show are those...my GYNO also ran some tests...I'm not sure which ones though and he said that my numbers were fine...boy, I'm so confused now. So they're supposed to run other tests...does this mean that I can have a thyroid problem? Or is it good that my TSH is normal? I wonder why these doctors don't run other tests...I'm gonna be going to a another doctor. What do they do with an antibody? What exactly is that?

I actually live on Long Island, I'm in Elmont...used to live in Wantagh Where are you at?

hi!! i live near long beach..what dr were you seeing??

most so so docs just do tsh,,but a good doc will do all the tests.
an antibody tests shows if you have antibodies that are attacking the thryoid. many hypo patients have antibodies even if the tsh is so called normal.

i do know a good doc in babylon that would run all the thryoid tests necessary. i am trying to find an endo though for my pcos and thryoid.
