Well at lunch time I have to go and pick them up.
Basically I took them to see if my Thyroid levels are back to normal (they had to up my dose from 50 to 75 about 3 months ago) and also to see how my Prolactin levels are....
If my thyroid ones are ok, then my Endo will then start focusing on me TTC, but if my Prolactin levels are still high then I may have to do a couple more exams, I already had a head scan to see if my pithary (is it said like that?) gland is OK, and all was fine. I may even have to take more medication for the rest of my life to keep my prolactin levels down. This could also be the casue of my irregular periods, which would then get regular again with the right medication.
Aaah so many if's and but's, I just hope all is well with the thyroid, so we can start moving on... FIngers crossed.
Hope you all have a good day today.

Ok, so good news I think, all my hormone levels are as they should be, even the prolactin, which is what confuses me.
Why was it so high the other time I tested? (nearly 3 times more than what it should have been) Could my thyroid have affected that too? Is that a normal symtom of hypothyroidismo?
And if those levels are back to normal, then it means that my irregular periods are caused by PCO's. Which means that there are no medicines to help doesn't it? Apart from Clomid, which if I have understood right, you can only take a tot number of times.....
I was kind of hoping that it was caused by my prolactin levels, which I know is curable with medication..
I don't know whether to be happy or not

Metformin/glucophage treats PCOS quite effectively for most women. PCOS being a pre-diabetic disorder is properly treated using the same medication & resources available to diabetics.
Did you get copies of your lab results? That's always a good idea. If so, post them here and we'll see if the doctor missed anything when analyzing them?

Your TSH looks a little high- most people like it around 1.0 and yours is 2.21.. You have a good stock of T4 but your T3 looks a little low. It's possible you could do better on a combination T3/T4 treatment instead of just T4?
Good job on getting that prolactin down

Yeah I'm quite glad that my prolactin has gone down, even though I don't know how, and what I did to make it go down!!!
These are what my results were like 3 months ago before they upped my dose:
TSH - 7.98 (normal level 0.27-4.20)
FSH - 2.76
LH - 16.5
Prolattina - 1701 (normal 127 - 637)
Progesterone - 7.1
Testosterone - 0.54 (normal 0.06 - 0.82)
Theses I don't know in english - Anti tireoperossidasi - 254 (normal inf. a 34)
FT4 - 1.04
I think looking at this, things have definatly got better, do you agree?
Would these values which were so out of place have had any affect on me not getting pregnant? Do you think I have a better chance now? In the last 3 months i've also had 2 periods, which is amazing for me....
I am going to see my Endo on Monday morning. what should I ask him now? Is it time for me to go on something like clomid? Or Metformin/glucophage as you suggested?
Thanks for your time.

Your results are definitely better now! It sounds like you've made good progress. In terms of thyroid, 3 months is a very short time. The thyroid moves very slowly.
You may be lucky to be able to get periods now without any PCOS meds... who knows? 2 periods in 3 months is real good, considering. My RE told me when we started treatment for PCOS that since I was coming from a place of no periods (or 1 a year), that I may end up with only 4 a year or so, and that would be a success. Lucky for me, I ended up with cycles that were 30-40 days long, which for me is pretty healthy! So, for you, 2 periods in 3 months could be your healthiest, and it could mean you are ovulating!
You might want to focus on your thyroid right now, and try to tweak it to its best. Like I said, that little gland moves very slowly, and it takes a little while for changes to trickle down into healing your body. Having had 2 periods is a _very_ good sign that things are getting back to normal.
Have you tried charting your cycles (the day you start a period is day 1) to see how long they are, and temping (taking your basal body temperature- the temperature you have first thing in the morning before rising) to see if you are ovulating? If you are ovulating, then you are doing pretty well just on the thyroid meds!
Good luck, and keep us updated!
