Question Blood tests show no sign of pre-diabetes or hypo. but feel the symptoms

About 6 months ago I went to my PCP to tell him that i've been feeling really bad. everytime i eat carbs or sugar I feel tired, heavy, weak. I was sleeping 10-12 hours every night and still tired. He sent me for bloodwork and said everything was fine. tested my thyroid, said its fine. said to watch my carbs and stop eating sugar and white carbs and stick to whole grains

Last month i went to my gyno because went off the pill and no AF for 4 months. did 2 sets of bloodwork. the first one he said that my thyroid was off and wanted me to test again. the second tests showed that i was borderline, said everything was fine.

he gave me prog. to get my period(last one tomorrow) and then clomid of days 5-9.

i've started a strict low carb diet after doing tons of reading here on the boards. I'm feeling a little better but my goodness, if I don't eat every 2-3 hours I start feeling shaky, lightheaded, nervous

the bloodwork isn't showing anything. but I feel it. what can I do? what can I tell my doctors??

I exercise 5-6 days a week, running/walking 4 miles. I have a hard time losing and the minute I eat carbs or sugar, my weight flies up. it can fluctuate more than 5 lbs. a day. i've been trying to lose 10 pounds for years now and it seems like nothing works.

I'm never hungry, like the stomach rumbling hungry, because I have to eat so often or i feel so weak

what would you do?

thanks

Do you remember what your TSH level is?

What test did you have done to determine if you had prediabetes?

Yes, I had a TSH level of 7.47 and my dr. put me on 75mg of Synthroid. My TSH levels are now 0.6.

As for the insulin resistance/prediabetes....did you ever take a fasting glucose or OGTT test?

No I never had them done

I'm going to call an endo. and make an appointment and talk to them about running those tests.

My doctor happended to call me last night and tell me that my last blood results came in. he had me do another one after the 6.31 TSH and this time the TSH came back at 2.66, but it saids TSH with free t4, then underneith saids TSH 2.66. reference rage .4-5.5 mIU/L

but I wonder if anyone knows why the discrepency?

why such the difference? its still close to 3 so i'm definetly going to talk to the endo.

thanks

jmosery.. tsh can jump around greatly..but any test you have that showed such a high number would indicate something is going on. you also need free t4 and free t3 and antibody testing done. please keep pushing. sounds like you know something isnt right in your body and please believein yourself xo jenn

the BEST website resource for hypothyroid that I have found it www.thyroidrevolution.com It even gives you resource to get natural thyroid on your own. This would be the equivalent of Armour thryoid. I did this for a month or so to test myself and when I started taking the natural thyroid I felt alot better so then I persued finding a Dr that would help me. Also if you Dr will not treat you for Hypo and you have all the symptoms Try finding a Dr on http://www.thyroid-info.com/topdrs/ these are Dr's listed and referred by the actual patients. Not a paid endorsement. That is how I found my current Dr that started treating me for hypo by my symtoms not by my blood work.
