Cool blood work?

ok the doc said I had pcos and needed bloodwork so I got Alot taken and it's been a week so I called and the told me they won't get it back for 14-16 days iv never known it to take so long. Does that sound like how long it normaly takes?

welcome to sc im in the uk and can usually get blood test results after about one week, but it may be different where you live. Hope you get your results soon.

Hi

It depends what they were testing for. Most things take a week but testing for vitamin D and calcium defficiency usually takes 2 weeks. Your doctor may have ordered those tests as well just to rule any defficiencies out. That is what my doctor did.

my blood work took around 14 days to compleate both times it was run so be patient it can take time

My "normal bloodwork" is usually back within a couple of days but the initial "PCOS bloodwork" took about two weeks--particularly because my doc included genetic testing for non-traditional congential adrenal hyperplasia (CAH). I know it's tough to be patient, but if any special testing was ordered it can take a little while.
