Default Body Cleanse?

Has anyone here every done a detox program or a body cleanse? I picked up a kit last night and I'm planning on starting it on the weekend. I just wanted to know if anyone has ever done one before and if they saw any results from it.

I guess I'm hoping that if I rid my body of all the toxins I've loaded it with over the past 25 years, I'll be able to get to the root of my problem....kind of like working with a clean slate.

I haven't, but I am interested in one too. I would like to do one to help improve my gall bladder function. Good Luck and let us know how it went!

By deciding to start cleansing you body, I can see that you are starting your journey toward better health. It is a great decision.

There are different cleanses that target different systems or toxins, and for each targeted organ, or toxin there are many different types of cleanses to chose from.

What type of cleanse are you doing? Is your cleanse targeting a specific body system, like a colon cleanse? Or is it targeting a specific toxin, like a heavy metal cleanse, or a candida cleanse?

I have done candida cleanse/but long term, so it is more of an ongoing candida control program. I have also done a heavy metal cleanse, which started with the removal of my mercury amalgam dental fillings, and continued on with an herbal heavy metal chelation supplement.

I stopped the heavy metal cleanse to I could get PG, but I plan to start again after the baby is born. (Found out that there is still mercury hiding in my body tissues.) To prepare my body for the heavy metal cleanse, I plan to do a colon cleanse, kidney cleanse, and a liver (gall bladder) cleanse.

I have continued to do candida control throughout this pregnancy, and plan to continue to do it while I do the other cleanses, especially while I do the heavy metal cleanse, because candida tends to get worse while the body is detoxing heavy metals.

The heavy metal cleanse, and candida control, along with better nutritional intake, have put my PCOS into remission (hence the little Thanksgiving sweet potatoe that is due in 2 weeks), and it also put also my Multiple Sclerosis and oral Lichen Planus into remission.
I highly recommend doing cleanses to rid the body of toxins like heavy metals, and pathogens, like candida.
Because there are so many different cleansing options out there, it really is best to do a lot of research on the different types of cleanses, decide which will be best to do, and in what order, make a plan, and then more research to decide which procedure, or product will be the best for the specific cleanses that you have chosen to do.

I wish you great success, and look forward to hearing of your progress as you continue on your healing journey.

The type of cleanse I am doing is a very gentle 7-system cleanse (I was nervous about doing my first one and how my body would react...a girl still has to get up and go to work everyday, ya know?).

The pills I take in the morning cleanse the liver, lungs, lymphatic system, kidneys, skin and blood. The evening cleanse does the bowel. It is a 15 day cleanse and I just started this morning, so I will definitely let you know how it goes.

I am also very interested in doing the candida cleanse because for the past 2 years (at least) I have been plagued by recurring yeast infections. That will be the next cleanse that I do. I'm really hoping to find some balance out of this experience. I'm especially hoping that my skin will clear up as the acne is what bothers me most.

My herbalist just put me on a cleanse also!! It is a mixture of chinese herbs that are supposed to cleanse the colon, kidneys, liver, lymphatic, and blood, literally everything. She told me it would be like my body getting a fresh start to prepare for conception. I am starting after Thanksgiving because I know there will be way to many good foods there to stick to it the way I should. I figure if I want results I better follow it to the letter.

Good luck to all that is going down this path. It just kind of makes sense to do it!

I bought a cleanse kit that I'm waiting till Sunday to start lol.
In the time leading up to this choice the one things I read alot was that it is ideal to start with a colon cleanse.
The reasoning being that if the colon (and hence bowels) are slow moving or backed up, the toxins that are released from the other organs will be in transit for longer so have an opportunity to be reabsorbed during the last steps to elimination.
I'm starting with a 12 day cleanse (hearbal detox with does a bit of everything)and am looking into colon hydrotherapy.
After that I plan to do the more targeted cleanses such as liver, kidney, heavy metals, parasites etc.
I'm pretty excited as I have only ever heard great things from people who have done any of them.
