Default Booobiiieees

During puberty I had excess male hormones, like many of you lovely pcos-ers (I wasnt even diagnosed back then so I wasnt getting treatment) I'm guessing this affected my breasts growth, because even tho my whole family has c or d cups (no, not my dad) I am barely a b cup, and my breasts are uneven. So if I'm right about the whole pcos-affecting-my-boobs-thing, will my breast start to normalize now that I'm taking Yasmin and loosing weight???

Hi, I don't know if you'r right about The Boob Thing, but I hope so.
I also come from a family of large breasts, and mine were (note that I said were!) a D Cup, but have gone down to an A/b Cup ! It wouls seem that after giving birth to my son all the symptoms of PCOS kicked in. My Dr says that can hapen with a vengence after all the hormones from pregnancy are gone. So if your right maybe I can look forward to getting my chest back once I start meds!
Fingers crossed!!

What was the "wrong" med you were on?? Might be a breakthrough!! lol. Maybe it would help some of us flat chested cysters out here

Wouldn't it be nice if the one's who get more than they want could share w/those of us that don't get enough?? We'd ALL be happy then!!

I'm sorry, I don't know the answer to the original question...there may be something to it, but probably not enough for it to be called a symptom of pcos because there are so many well endowed cysters too. But, I do have pretty much the same, mine aren't "uneven" they are both pretty much the same size, but I do have an aunt who has one bigger than the other. Most ppl in my family got the gift of large boobage, except for my mom and I...so maybe it does have something to do with it, and maybe not? I don't really know. It sucks though doesn't it? It is really hard for me to buy bras too because I'm a big girl and I guess ppl that make bras expect that if you are overweight you automatically have a big rack....ug!

I have big boobies, but they've always been saggy, SO, I decided to blame it on PCOS...it makes me feel better. I'm a 24 year old non mommy who looks like she's nursed a whole soccer team of kiddies.

I've also wondered if the excess androgens contribute to being smaller busted. My family on both sides have large breasts - I have hardly any.

Some of the articles that Kat has posted in the research articles thread mention absence of breast development/loss of breast tissue as a result of too much male hormones, along with thinning hair/hair loss, hirsutism, etc. Here's one of them: http://www.soulcysters.net/showthread.php?t=4613&highlight=reduced+breast+size

Maybe it does have somethiing to do with pcos at least thats what i've always blamed it on! I was diagnosed @ age 15 & my breast are barely a "B" cup and one of them is smaller than an "A" cup,and it has always been very hard to deal with. I've had plenty of wrong med's but not lucky enough to get any to make my breasts large, DARN IT!!!!

*has practically no breasts...*
Maybe it's a symptom. Would explain why I'm not even half of the rest of the ladies in the family...

Avalanche - what was the wrong med that they had you on? I have never heard of anything causing that!! Did they tell you WHY that med made that happen??

Thanks for all the responses I think I need to ask my doctor about this because its really bugging me. It's good to know there are other PCOSers out there who have the same problems and feelings. Thanks!

Red face

When I was 21 I was a 38 C now I'm 23 and a 40DDD. My entire family is flat chested so I have no idea about why I am so big. I'm working with my dr to try and get the insurance company to pay for a reduction. I'd love to be a B. I'm not on any meds for my PCOS at this time because metaformin made me sick and the orthoevra didn't help at all. But, I'm going to a new gyno on wed so hopefully I can figure out my boob thing. Good luck with yours.
