I am currently on the look out for a nice pair of knee high boots. Next have some quite nice ones, and do a wide fitting (but not that wide!), M and S have wide fitting as well, as do clarks. However, have just found wonderful web site called duoboots.co.uk - they do all sorts of boots with loads of different calf sizes - wow! where have they been all my life!? However, bit expensive so still going to check out other options first. Just thought I might not be the only one having probs with this!
WOW there are some absolutely GORGE boots on that site, the prices aren't so goregous but I think with boots like those it's probably worth the money in the wrong run I like the on called 'Cadiz'. I've been looking for some recently and I have such trouble too because my feet are big, I need at least a size 9 and if I get a big size in the foot then the calf is usully huge on me. It seems that neither of us can win here! x

I have never been able to get knee length boots to fit around my calfs until last year when I went into Evans..... I got a beautiful pair of boots and they fitted! They were quite expensive but they are fantastic quality. Just wish I could afford lots more pairs!!

Thank you so much for this...just like you buying boots was depressing expirience for me,and I love calf lenght boots.
Last pair I bought were from the USA, and they fitted perfectly.
Also ,is it just me ,but I find shopping for clothes to be a real torture...etam is closed now and the only thing left is Evans...and dont even start me on them.... why is it that people think just because you are 14+ you want to dress as if you were 60 yrs old???
Sometimes their clothes aren't as well fitting as they might be but their shoes and boots are fantastic

Didn't realise Etam was closed all over the place. I thought it was just my local one.........
I find that some stuff in Evans is ok, and some is so granny-ish. My local one had a sale on the other day - when I didn't have any money........ typical.
further update! got a pair in tesco, not very wide but just wide enough - nice, and pretty reseonable too! will be keeping an eye on thier boots in the future!
