Default borderline PCOS

I was diagnosed with PCOS about 6 years ago...Today I was told that I only have borderline PCOS...Whats the difference?

She put me on 500mg Metformin and 50mg Clomid. How long did it take you to get pregnant on this dosage?

You might want to ask this question on the Mommy board or something like that.

Maybe you are "borderline" because your symptoms have improved from what they used to be? did you have any blood tests that came back close to normal?

There is really no such thing as borderline PCOS. You can go into remission, but unless your PCOS was related to seizure meds, you have always had it and always will.

You should ask your doctor to VERY SPECIFICALLY detail what she means by this.

Make her repeat it until you can repeat (and understand) it.

Also ask her to point you to research literature supporting a diagnosis of "borderline pcos".
