What should I do the room in? i want something that I really won't have to change for a while. Something that will grow with him, so nothing like bears on the walls etc. So what do you think? Sports? Nascar stuff or baseball or just a color theme? I'm not really good in this department. haha Need some advice.
Suggestions wanted here

Vintage Fire Truck {This one might be more than you want to spend...it's Wendy Bellissimo}
We basically had a few themes picked out when we went to the store and found that we liked one better than we thought so that's what we went with.
If you want to do a color theme, you might be better off going w/ seperate pieces as it will be less expensive but there are several cute nursery themes that could grow w/ your little boy
ETA: I personally love the All Stars!

You're welcome! I would paint the nursery a blue color and go w/ different game pics on the walls as well as big #'s like on the bedding. I think it would be so cute yet it would fit a big kid too! Can't wait to see the finished result, you better show some pics of it!

DH and I talked about doing an animal theme. Not like teddy bears, but forest animals. A woods theme. You could even do solid bedding coordinates. We thought that it would last for a while with a little boy. We want to paint the ceiling like the sky and have scenes on a couple of the walls like the forest.
Just an idea, still in the planning stages!

We did bugs...big giant bugs on a blue background...of course now DS has a race car bed but when he gets out of that he will be okay again in the room...
I LOVE the nautical theme too...there is so much variety and it can grow with him

We wound up doing Jesus and the little children, but we talked about doing an animal theme. Basically the idea was to paint the walls like you were outside.. bottom part green, top part blue.. green carpet.. and then an animal border around the middle and maybe some birds/bugs up higher.

We are doing our room in fish. We both love Finding Nemo. We already have the paint on the walls from our foster kids. It is an Aqua color. My DH is going to free hand some fish and paint.
We figure it would be okay for either and hoping they will love Finding Nemo as much as we do.
Of course this could all change depending on the final result. (sex, age, etc.)
I like all of the above, it is hard deciding. No matter what their age.

Since you can't decide, why not just wait until Braxton is old enough? You could just pick some neutral boy stuff for now, and then actually decorate when he's old enough to see what he likes, especially if you don't want to redo it later.
One of my aunts did her son's room in bright blue and red, in a car theme, assuming it would last him until at least until he was in the middle of elementary school. However, by the time he was a toddler, he clearly expressed a greater interest in all things John Deere. Yep, she had to redo the room in green and yellow to go with his toy tractor stuff, but he kept that theme until he graduated high school because that's what he liked.

We did the whole John Lennon (Real Love: light colors jungle animals) theme, and after how much I spent on it- I'm really burned out! Buy something that makes you feel good/doesn't hurt your pocket book too much, and you'll feel happier in the long run. Looking back now, I wish we had done something brigher/darker like the Bug Theme from Burlington or Tropical Fish, and spent less.
Definitely post pics when you're done- good luck!
