I am currently on 75 mg of Toprol XL for blood pressure. I am going to start ttc again and am not sure if this med is ok to take during pregnancy. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I also forgot, if not what med is best during pregnancy? Also can I just start taking the new med and quit the Toprol?

I take 25mg of Toprol xl and my ob said I could stay on it if I became pregnant. I have seen a link to a website that you can check all your meds on, but I can't remember it. I remember looking up Toprol and it cautioned you about taking it during pregnancy, but my doc says she has patients that have stayed on it and everthing turned out fine. I will choose to stay on it myself. Best of luck.
