I know this has been posted before, but I couldn't find it!! Does it matter if you get the generic or the brand name metformin?? My pharmacy always gives me generic, unless I ask for the brand name. It is all about feeling better at this point, so if the brand name has worked better for most of you...that is the route i will take!!

I have had less GI issues taking the brand. Not sure why but I've heard that from others too. So, for me, it's worth the extra co-pay to have a happier tummy!
