Hello all. I had a quick question. Has anyone used the bravelle injection? My doc prescribed it for me and I was wondering if it worked and had any crazy side affects. I'm a little wary about taking it. Thanks
Bolsom,
I started taking the bravelle injections last month and didn't have any side effects from it. It's a little hard to get used to the injections though. Do you have someone to give them to you? I start my round tomorrow with my first injection. Good luck to you.

Thanks for the advice. My husband is going to give the injections to me. I have another question. Did you have trouble finding the medicine? It only comes in boxes of 5 and I only need 2. No pharmacy will only let me buy the two. I really can't afford to buy the whole box. Any help at all would be appreciated. Thanks so much!
By the way bravelle is a follicle stimulating hormone used to induce follicle production.
Bolsom- fortunately I have insurance that covers it. But I have heard people talking about fertility pharmacies that will buy back any unused medication. So, you may have to put out the money upfront but if you end up not needing it you can get your money back. Also, I don't know how legal or safe it is but I have seen websites online that sell unused medications at a decent price. That may or may not be something that you want to look into.

Hi there. I am currently on my first cycle of Bravelle with no adverse effects. I am wondering if someone could help me out. I started my first injection at 75IU per day for day 3-6, I was then increased and increased again to 225IU per day. I am on cycle day 15 and was told I have to continue the shots to increase my follicle size. Has anyone else had to go this long with injections, is this normal for women with PCOS?
