Breakthrough bleeds?????? Can I stop them?

I am at the point where I am getting very very very frustrated with the constant breakthrough bleeding I have been having for the last year. At first I thought it was just because I had switched BCP to Yasmin so I went off it for 6 months. Had normal periods for two months, then no period for 4 months.

I went on progestrin for 10 days to start my period again, then started BC again, this time Diane which I have had amazing success with since I was 13. AF lasted for 5 days not super heavy, bought the normal that I would normally have.

But I am a week and a half into my pack of pills, and I am still getting cramps and breakthrough bleeds. Is it just because I didnt have my period for 4 months, or could it be something more???

I'm waiting for an answer to this question, too. I got through an entire pack of Yaz (took last pink pill today) and I never stopped bleeding (light, off-and-on, bright pink/red). What's up?! I made an appointment with a new gyno this week. If I get info before you do, apfeltchus, I'll let you know.

any updates? I don't have nonstop bleeding, but am experiencing breakthrough bleeding which is very annyoing...
