I have been dx with breast cancer. So have had 2 bc ops to remove the tumor within the last 3 weeks. All cancer is now gone from my breast. Not spread to the lymph (brilliant news).
found out Thurs i wil be having chemotherapy. Then radiotherapy. Then tamoxafen tablets. Mine was oestrogen positive. Anyone in a similar position??
You are in my prayers, hang in there. That is wonderful news that it hasn't spread, GL!

My best friend was diagnosed with breast cancer last year at the age of 23! She first went through chemo for six months, then she had a double mastectomy (sp?), and now she is taking tamoxafen and has been for about 6 months. Her cancer did spread to her lymphnodes and lungs. The good news, however, is that they got all of the cancer and her MRI came back negative for any signs of cancer.
My thoughts and prayers are with you. I personally haven't been through this, but I have been deeply involved in the processes.
Keep your head up! *hugs*

I haven't been through this, but I just want to offer you prayers and wish you the best. I hope that you recovery completely and get through the treatments smoothly. Do you mind if I ask how it was found? Did you discover a lump, or was it via a routine test? Please keep us informed on how you are doing!

I wish I had some advice for you. I just wanted to say that my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer in March of this year (the same day I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer so it was a super fun day around here) and she's had the surgeries, the chemo and is almost done with the radiation and then will start Tamoxiphen. So far she's doing well and we're really hopeful it won't come back. I know how hard this is to deal with, not just for you but for your family, and I just wanted to say my prayers are with you!

saw my breast nurse. Have an appointment at the chemo hospital for 19 Nov, no treatment then, but they will explain all about the chemo. And should get a date to start, too.

I don't know if you remember me from way back when?? I used to live in Finland.
I'm sorry to hear you are going through this! My cousin was just diagnosed a few months ago and she's been through a few chemo treatments so far. She has her good days and bad.
They found out hers was caused by estrogen and recommended her having her ovaries removed. I think that's a bit harsh, but she's willing to do whatever it takes as she has 2 young children.
I will pray you have a speedy recovery!

Eva- Just wanted to add my whole hearted support. I am sorry to hear of your diagnosis. My mother was diagnosed with Stage IV breast cancer last summer and we eventually found it had spread to her bones and liver. She is 55. I am happy to say after 6 months of chemo and radiation and tamoxofen, she is doing well and her liver mets are gone.
Just a question- have they done a PET scan? Since yours spread to the lymph node, I was wondering. This was something they did not do for my mother for 3 months and by that time the cancer had spread significantly. It is an expensive test, so they may not want to do it right away. I strongly suggest you push for it! I wish I had known at the time we should ask for it.
Good luck with your treatments. I wish you the best!
