Default Breast Cancer Quarter

http://www.mint.ca/bcc/en-CA/index.aspx

Royal Canadian Mint has released its second coloured coin. This time its for Breast Cancer. Get yours at Shopper's Drug Mart or Pharmaprix (they can exchange a normal quarter for a BC one- Somehow I think these won't make it into circulation too long) . I know we are all here because of our PCOS, but I know there are many of us touched by Breast Cancer. I know I got one to remember my dad...

I'll keep my eye out for the B.C. quarter.

Still haven't seen one but still keeping an eye out for one.
Is the paint better than the stuff they used on poppy quarters that we had?

I haven't seen them in circulation yet, but my sister received one in the Mint packaging for participating in a girl's hockey tournament. I thought that was a cool idea. I'm going to see if my local post office has the bookmark with it.

I picked one up at Shoppers Drug Mart when they first came out. They'll trade a regular quarter for one.
The paint is supposed to be better than the poppy ones but I guess that remains to be seen.
It honestly doesn't look as good as the pictures. The middle ribbon looks really pixelated. It's still pretty cool though.

You can get them at Shoppers. There is the bookmarks there too with the painted pink ribbons. So far the paint hasn't faded on mine like the poppy did- they changed the way they painted. I do agree that its pixels are obvious but I like the fact that at least its another thing to keep BC awareness in the spotlight.

I exchanged a quarter for a BC one today. I agree with the pixel look comment, it's still a neat idea though.

I'm going to keep looking for the bookmark, neither shoppers nor the post office had them today.
