dear cysters, i feel strange to post in here.. i feel like i'm stepping into a sacred temple i dont have any right to step in.. but that was something very important i want to share with you:
since i joined sc and this section in paticular i started to think a lot about the brother i never met, beacuse he died few days after he was born. he was twin to the brother i have. he should be 21 now. we didnt really talk about it in family and aonly reading your posts teached me how much my mum should have suffered, and my father too.
if God will ever bless me with a son ai will name him like my amgel brother.

Aw, I'm sorry. My grandparents had a stillborn in 59, and my mom named my brother after him.
This makes me think of what Gideon will be like when he's older. I want to tell him all I can about our angel baby so he knows his brother.
Thank you for sharing with us.

dont be scared to talk to him about Eric James.. when i was a child i loved to hear about my angel brother but my mum didnt talk a lot about him, maybe because she was still suffering a lot..

Every parent copes in their own way, and some need to be quiet. My husband usually only talks to me about our little girl. I think your parents will be deeply touched if you have a son and choose that name... or a daughter and use one version of the name or something. They might not be able to share with you how they feel, but I think it would be a powerful statement of your love.
Thank you for sharing your story!

I was blessed with a healthy child after a devastating miscarriage. I've been pretty open with DD about the baby we lost. I tell her she's very special to us because we wanted a baby so much and didn't expect to get one:her! We tell her that we are sad because of the baby who died (because sometimes things go wrong, the baby wasn't growing quite right) We always tell her that we are very, very happy that she was born and that she's a special miracle. DD has always been able to handle this pretty well and hearing the story makes her (and me) feel good. Her theory is that she's the "healthy version" of the other baby, she just had to "go back" and "get things to go right" so she could be born. It's such a wonderful way to think; kids are always so adaptable and accepting about the ways and whys of the world.
sometimes i think about my brother, he is 21 now, and how is he dealing with the whole fact.. if he's thinkin about our angel brother at all- you know they say that is a secial link between twins.. but i lack of courage to ask him
when me and him were children we use invented the word "geese world" that in our family still means the period before the birth.. so when my parents use to talk about times when we werent born yet they told us: you were still in the geese world. when i was young i thought my angel brother just came back there (i still think about it as warm and full of pinkish clouds.. and remember: they're geese not the other bird that brings the babies..sorry cant remember how to translate!)

Stork world? That's ok, I think its cute either way! That's so sweet that your family has a name for the special place that we're in before we're born. I think when our parents lose a baby, we always think about them. My mom had a little girl between my younger sister and brother who died from placental abruption, I think. My mom doesn't talk about her too much, not even with me. I'm a lot more open than she is. I think it really bothers her.
My mom lost my twin, somewhere around the 22 wk mark.. carried me to the 35 week mark... and well I know my mother mourned, until I was born. And I know that there has always been a place in my heart for my sister. I remember dreaming about playing with her alot when I was growing up.. I was the only girl in the house. I do shed a tear every now and then. Wishing that she was here... To hold and support me. But I think she is. In her own way, Watching over me. And watching over my own angel babies.
