So I have been drinking bubble tea without the sugar in it, a newshop opened and I really liked the bubble tea. Until I just learnt that those little balls at the bottom contain 90Grams of carbs?!?!?! OMG!!! The little tapioca balls are 90 Grams of carbs?! Ive sabotaged what I have been trying to do. Im so shocked!! The tea is low in fat and calories, just not carbs.

I am going to have to ask my friend from Taiwan about this on Monday, since apparently it is very popular in Asia. Here are a couple of links: http://www.bubbleteasupply.com/index.php?page=main.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bubble_tea
I wish I could get one here too!
Edit to add: Check out youtube-they have some videos about bubble tea. I'm jealous!

My favourite is peach green tea with tapioca balls i find the lychee can make it too sweet.
it also depends on where you go, some places only have the milky kind and i prefer the clear green tea. |
