What in the world does bump mean??? I posted something yesterday that I really need help with and I got one post - thinking oh thank goodness someone can help and I get a post saying "bump".
The poster was "bumping" your thread back to the top of the new post thread so another cyster would see it and hopefully be able to help you. When someone post in any thread it will show as a new post and be on the new post search and that will get you the most views on your thread. Hope that helps.
When people respond to a thread, it goes back up to the top of the forum. But it keeps getting bumped down if no one is answering and eventually moves to the next page.
If no one has responded, you can "bump" to get it back to the top of the forum so it stays up there until someone answers you. That way someone who may have missed it can still see it.
