My Mood: Points: 3,854.47 Bank: 27,541.90 Total Points: 31,396.37 | bump. . . down there? So I noticed a tiny (smaller than a pencil eraser) bump near my vagina late last night before I went to sleep.
This morning when I checked it (with a hand mirror) and it *looked* like it might be an infected hair follicle (there were a couple hairs sprouting from it, which I tweezed).
Before I left for work I checked it again and it looked like a dot of pus was where the hair was. So I thought it would just drain on its own.
But now it's hard to sit on it. It doesn't itch, it's just *painful* (it's not even that big!) and it's a little bigger.
I tried, gently, to "pop" it, but nothing came out and it hurt.
I just checked it again and now it looks like an angry whitehead.
I'm hoping it's not like Herpes or anything, I get cold sores but it's not like a cold sore blister at all. I read on here it might be hidradentis suppurativa - I've had a couple big lumps that appear down there that aren't close to the surface of the skin that get kind of painful, but I haven't had one in years and they go away on their own. Is it just an infected follicle that will eventually drain on its' own? What else could it be?

Hope this helps!

(ouch, I know) You could also try scrubbing it with an exfoliant. I had something like this, and I was scared to death it was a VD, but my doctor said it was just an inclusive cyst. I say cut it open and then drain it and put some bacitracin on it and lay down so the bacitracin can dry. Good Luck! |

If you can find one that also has a topical pain killer, it will help ease the pain. I hope you can get relief soon.

I have some neosporin at home, I guess I'll try that tonight.
I think I'll also try the hot compress thing too. . . .

I try to squeeze them but if they are too painful, I just deal until they go away, IF they go away. Unfortunately I have some that seem to have taken up permanent residence I also use neosporin, which helps on the ones that do pop.
Going to try the hot compress! Thanks ladies

I had one next to my a-hole and the doctor said it was an infection from inside so I took antibiotics. A month later another came, almost the same spot then another but on my pubic bone kind of. So I know its not any kind of anal infection, although I have no idea what it is
