Question A bunch of questions...

well actually only a few.

I was dx in 1995. After years of annovulation disorder, Amenorhia, PCOS and fertility drugs, we have four great kids. I have never had a period without meds and I have certainly never ovulated on my own. Now here is the situation...

Two months ago I had a brown mucusy discharge one day. The same day and the following morning I had mild cramping on one or both sides at times. At first I thought that maybe I was actually going to start a cycle of my own, but alas nothing. Last month, the same thing happend so I bought a OPK.
Nineteen days later which was this past Sunday, I had the discharge again with ovarian pains again. I decided to take the OPK which came up positive in seconds. The test line was way darker than the control line. I have never had a positive OPK, ever! In all of the years of BBT charting and clomid, I never had one.
I called my nurse and she was shocked.

Has this happend to anyone else? Spontaneous regular ovulation? Do you have the discharge that I speaking of? What are your thoughts on this?

Our twins are only 16mths and I do not want a baby right now so I am going to have to take precautionary measures but in the next couple of years we would like to ttc again one last time.

I am so confused.

I just turned 32, lost weight, changed my eating habits and my thyroid is level is finally within the normal range. Could this have anything to do with it?

Yes, your loss in weight and taking better care of yourself will most definitely have a hand in your spontaneous ovulation. Congrats to you! That is GREAT news!!
