Unhappy Bursting cyst

Hi cysters,
I posted a few days ago about my heavy period. Now the period is lighter but I think I'm having a cyst burst tonight. Lots of pain over my left ovary. Yesterday I had quite a few clots pass, just a few today.

I wonder if any of you have noticed that you have burst cysts at a certain time in your cycle, more than other times? It's been a long time since I had this, so I can't really remember what CD I was on before.

Already took my pain med, I hope it works fast!

There seem to be quite a few of us going through this right now, I've been answering lots of posts with other cysters feeling this pain too in the past few days.

Thanks for listening cysters. I always feel like I can tell you ladies anything.

Hugs
Jenny

I am not sure if mine has burst or not. I had an ultrasound that showed one on my left ovary 2 weeks ago. A few days later I felt a twinge on my side- a little discomfort. And since that day I have not spotted. Go figure. I think I have a high tolerance for pain.

Thanks so very much cysters. You ladies are the best!

I'm feeling better today, only a little sore. The pain med kicked in and made me sleepy, so I slept off some of it. I already had the kids in bed (and my hubby works overnight) so I was able to go to bed when I felt like it!

The CD thing was just my curiosity, I just wondered if there is a time during the cycle that a cyst is more likely to burst. I'll ask my doctor that too, I have to go in for my yearly physical in September anyway. I am on CD 6 and the period is pretty well gone.

I'm so blessed to have wonderful friends like you. Thanks again and I'll be here for you too.

Hugs
Jenny

I am wondering if this is what has happened to me......I think it was a day, maybe two ago I felt a twinge on my right side - actually I am feeling a little right now. Awhile after that I noticed that I was having some spotting, very light like the last day of a period or so. Is that what happens when a cyst bursts? My Ob mentioned that my mid-cycle spotting could be a burst cyst. I didn't spot last month at all ( I am on prometrium), but I haven't started AF yet and have had this spotting for a day and a half now. Is there anything DRs. do for the burst cysts? This is a new development for me, so not really sure what is "normal" Thought I would get some anwers here and talk to my OB soon as I am due for my yearly.

Tam,
I occasionally will spot when I have a cyst burst, but also I have had spotting when I ovulated (not every time but occasionally).

For the pain I usually take Darvocet or something similar. My doctor is very good about giving me a prescription to keep on hand for times like these. After the first day, I usually can just take Aleve or Advil for the soreness that lingers for a couple more days.

Hope you feel better
Jenny
