I had this happen on Thursday. Before the cyst actually burst, I had HEAVY bleeding two weeks prior and just now today the bleeding is starting to let up and not be so cloty ... I know it is gross, but I am wondering if anyone else has had a cyst burst, I had 4, 3 on the left side and 1 on the right, this all happend on thursday and was confirmed by ultrasound, after this, I know I can go thru child-birth without the epi next time!!

I can't help you except to tell you that I have large cysts that burst...I currently have 3 large cysts on the right, two on the left and was told that they are hemorrhagic cysts. Was also told that I'm probably not PCOS because the cysts are "not the right type" - i.e., mine are large and hemorrhagic, not small and lined up. These cysts have been leaking for the last couple of weeks and have caused a LOT of pain. They also seem to be getting larger.
Does anyone else have large cysts that burst?
I ended up with an infection this summer concurrent with a large ovarian cyst bursting. Anyone else have infections from rupturing cysts?

I had a cyst to rupture recently. My doctor put me on a Z-pack and I haven't had an infection yet...I however, don't think my cyst was that large...It was painful, but not unbearable.
