Default Burts Bees products

Just after a bit of advice really. There have been a lot of references made to Burts Bees products and I have now found out where to get hold of them in the UK (thanks Carissa and Lucy), but they are not well known in the UK so I was wondering what you guys all think of the products?

In the past I've spent a fortune on makes like Clinique, Virgin Vie, Neways and have recently settled for Nutrogena products that I can easily get hold of in my local stores (and are half the price) rather than pay loads for products that haven't helpd and that I needed to mail order to get hold of.

My skin is still problematic so I am keen to try Burts Bees but again it comes down to money (I've just bought my first property so haven't got lots of spare cash), but want to hear what you guys think before I splash out on something that I can't really afford.

Thanks in advance

I use Burt's Bees, though not exclusively, and I think they are great! I wouldn't spend money on the toners and astringents (use witch hazel, it's cheaper and isn't harsh on the skin). The carrot lotions and face cream are wonderful, the smell, imho, is heavenly! I also like the blemish stick and the "chapstick". I received a free sample of the lipstick and that was nice too.

If you can afford to spend the extra money on something like Burt's Bees, I think it's worth it to not have all those added chemicals doing who knows what. Maybe just spend money on a few key items like moisturizer and lipstick or something.

I am moving to the UK in November and I'm glad to hear I can find Burt's Bees there!

I use the tomato bar soap for "blemish prone skin."

I love it! Also - the chapstick is great. I agree with oohmercy. the toners are too harsh and too expensive.

GL!

Hello,

Just wanted to add, I haven't tried Burt's Bees products, but they sound great.! Another thing I have found that works and you could probably find at any pharmacy is Tea Tree Oil, use it everyday after using a good alpha or beta hydroxy toner and/or witch hazel toner and it will probably help your skin. Basically the toner exfoliates all the dead cells off your face then the tea tree absorbs into the skin to help heal and prevent new acne. Tea tree oil is pretty affordable and I know is readily available in Europe. Hope this helps! Sarah

I love Burt's Bee's. I use
The tomato soap
the mask
the exfoliator
blemish stick
deoderant
foot cream (amazing if you have dry feet and also really chapped hands)
the body lotion
just got the royal eye jelly but think I might go back to just using the carrot cream around my eyes
chapstick
bug spray

I find them cheaper than most other specialty products

I LOVE Burt's Bees!
I use the Citrus Facial scrub and my skin has never looked better. I use to have to put a ton of concealer on my jawline to cover my acne and acne scars but now I use none. My acne scars have lessened greatly because of the exfoliating properties of the scrub. I don't find it harsh at all..in fact my skin feels very smooth and refreshed after I get done using it.
I also use the Marshmellow face cream, lip balm, make-up: blush & lipstick, lemon poppy seed cleanser, and foot cream. My local grocery store just started carrying the products and I'm so psyched because I won't have to pay shipping anymore
