Ok, I just called and got them to fax me a copy of *part* of my BW. Evidently they're waiting on my fasting insulin and all that jazz. But my primary concern was my TSH, because I feel like I am going nuts, and I just feel *bad*.
Well, now I know *why* I feel like complete $h!t. Ugh!
As of yesterday:
TSH: 18.86
Range: 0.3 - 3.0 (Thankfully my RE was fully aware of the new ranges.)
Free T4: 0.92
Range: 0.70 - 2.0
There was no Free T3 ran... But my FT4 looks good right?
But my TSH alone is what is making me insane.. That's super high, altho not as high as it was in the past (try 64!)... I think my thyroid is dead...
As soon as my doc get back in the office (she had to perform an emergency hysterectomy), they're gonna have her take a look at this and get me on some decent meds. Cause this .1mg (100mcg) obviously ain't cutting it.
=================================
ETA: The nurse just called me and they're going to up my dose to .125mg (125mcg). I cant wait to get back to normal.

Amber, that's great that you finally got some proof as to why you are feeling so bad. Seems to me that the doc should have run a Free T3 as well, to see if you might needs something like cytomel or Armour instead of just the synthroid.
And no, your T4 doesn't look that great. You want it to be in the mid range (for you, that would be 1.35) or higher, and yours is on the low end of the range. The extra synthroid will help with that, but you may need more than synthroid if your T3 is low as well.

Linda: Thanks for responding. I appreciate your help.
Can you take a look at these test results? They had to send them out to anoher lab and didn't get them until today...
Carbon Dioxide, Total - 16L Limits 20 - 32
Insulin, Fasting - 44.7H Limits 6.0 - 27.0
Too high, I know. She raised my Glucophage from 750 to 1500 (calling in my new dose today.. YEA!)
Trilodothyronine (sp? fax is fuzzy), Free, Serum - 2.2L (? L or 1, not sure, again fax is fuzzy) Limits 2.3 - 4.2
What do you make of those? I guess the Trilodothyronine is T3? I swear I feel like such a moron because I know *nothing* about this auto-immune disease, even tho I've had it since at least 16 years old... And why do you think she ran my Carbon Dioxide? The lab tests say "Complete Metabolic Panel" so is Co2 just something they run standard on that panel?
I have no idea why she'd run a co2... that said yes that other level is Free T3. So all your numbers are hideously low and you definitely need an increase in meds! FT4 should be AT LEAST midrange, preferably upper quadrant for most ppl. FT3 should be midrange.
Oh and with your thyroid that low you're going to be more insulin resistan than you'd be otherwise. So when you get your thyroid levelled out your insulin should go down.

From what I understand now after talking to a few people, co2 was on there because it is standard on a Metabolic Panel 14, which is what she ordered. I guess from what I'm told, your co2 is somehow linked to my fasting blood sugar which mine is too high. I guess it will come back within normal ranges once everythings under contorl. I dunno... *shrugs*
Thanks so much Shena for responding. You're a true wiz with all this thyroid stuff.
hi... yups your thryoid is totally sucky right now sorry to hear that... i hope you get upped on your meds and feeling better soon!!! xo jenn
