Default Byetta

My dr. has decided that I am "very insulin resistant" but not diabetic.
So, I am working up a tolerance to the Metformin and taking Byetta injections twice a day. Needless to say, I feel sick as a dog 99% of the time.

Has anyone with PCOS been put on Beyetta injections? Do you have any experience with this?

I have been on Byetta for over a year now. It has helped keep my blood sugar in check. I did experience a lot of dissiness while on it in the beginning. YOU need to make sure you eat like 30 minutes after you take it. I know my endo says that it won't make your blood sugar go dangerously low, but I did have some 59's when i started. I am type 2 diabetic, but while I have been on it my A1C, three month sugar level average was the last time 5.6, OVer a 6 is diabetic....so therefor it is helping keep my numbers in the normal range. What's best is to eat small meals and to eat some snack in between. I like strawberries, granola bars, yogart, cereals, celery and peanut butter. Try to stay away from spicey foods and eating bigger spicey foods late. Once you figure out what to stay away from the medicine won't have as much side effects. Anything else let me know...
