Default Byetta Anyone?

Anyone on it. Has it helped control your levels? Helped with weight?

My endocrinologist wanted to put me on it a few years ago, but I declined. Recently I heard that there's going to be a class action lawsuit involving byetta. I'd google it. For me, I just couldn't handle injections. Just not going to happen.

I take glucophage and Byetta. I've been on Byetta for about 6 weeks. My blood sugar levels fell to almost normal and I lost 8 pounds in about three weeks.

The injections are EASY--the easiest thing you can imagine. The needles are small and thin--you can barely feel it--really.

I am hoping that with Byetta I can loose a lot of weight.

For me it isn't the feeling its the idea. I have a high tolerance for pain, there's just something about needles. I can't even stand to be in the same room.

Its for pancreatitis, they did not know that Byetta affected so many this way. But I am getting regular checks for this.

Hey Jenny! It's Amie from OCP.

I came here to look for experiences with Byetta. I have a dr appt tomorrow and want to ask about starting it. I am also on Metformin, but that isn't cutting it. We tried incressing the Met but it made me very sick.

I'm on Met & Byetta, but not diabetic. I had bw run last month before starting Byetta & all my numbers were great, which was super exciting to me. I've been on 5mg Byetta for 3 weeks & love it. I def feel full all the time & have lost weight, I think about 8 lbs but will find out for sure at my dr appt tomorrow. I also work out up to 10 hrs a week which helps with the weight loss. I haven't had any real side affects from the medication, except for the feeling of fullness, which is why I'm taking it! I do seem to burp more than before, but again, that's due to the feeling of fullness. HTH, GL!

Hi Amie and Jessie.
This is the end of week 3, and I do feel the fullness.
I never thought I had that problem, because I really do not eat a ton, but I am eating less! I have lost about 10 lbs in the 3 weeks too!

I'm on Met & Byetta, and I'm not diabetic. It's helped me feel fuller, lose weight, and really improve my bloodwork. I know there's a rick of pancreatitis so I'd be aware of any symptoms + I'm monitored by my Dr.

I'm currently going back and forth with my absent-minded (brilliant doc, just not "all there", LOL) endo about Byetta. He had been saying that the only way I could lose any considerable amount of weight was with WLS, but I would prefer to try this route first. Less insides-rearranging. Crossing my fingers!

I have been on Byetta for about a week and a half and it has been life altering for me. I had surgery to remove congenital cysts from my ovaries a little over 1 year ago. It changed everything for me, made me miserable in short. My marriage has been suffering from my insane mood swings. Since starting byetta i feel like a new person. I'm not exhausted all the time anymore and I have energy and I'm not so grouchy. My husband says its like a night and day difference. I'm not severely depressed anymore and and I'm happy. I feel totally different! The shots are not painful and i am losing weight already! To anyone trying to decide whether or not to take Byetta, DO IT!!!!!! Your results may be different than mine but its worth taking the chance!

I am type 2 diabetic and pcos and have been on Byetta for a year now, taking 10mcgs 2 times a day. It has not really helped with the weight loss like I thought it would. It's suppose to help with the craving but has not. I lost more weight before the Byetta than I have after on it...only great thing about it is my levels look great, I have a 5.6 for a A1C now and my Cholesterol is coming down and I am ovulating,, I think...I guess I need to exercise more...
I am also on 2000 mgs Metformin as well just started that about 6 months ago.
