Just wanted to update. I have been on the byetta for about a month now and everything is still going well. I have continued to loose weight. i think about 4lbs total. I get nauseous sometimes but not often and usually only for one morning. My depression is still way better. I can tell it helps a lot because I forgot to take it with me out of town for 2 days and I had a horrible day after being off it. I was in a terrible mood and extremely tired. My blood sugar has gone from always being higher than 115 (fasting) to 65 fasting and 90-105 with meals. It almost works too well though I have to make sure I eat regularly or it gets too low. On the whole I'm really happy with the byetta.

About a month on byetta and I still love it! Forgot it when I went out of town for the weekend and I could tell a huge difference. I would still recommend it highly!

Have your dr's told you to not try to get pregnant while on Byetta?

I am building up a tolerance to Metformin and Byetta. They knocked me for a major loop the first 3 weeks, now I am OK most days...

Default hi

For me it isn't the feeling its the idea. I have a high tolerance for pain, there's just something about needles. I can't even stand to be in the same room.

I was on Byetta, 5 mg, tolerating it well. my endo put me on 10, and i started to throw up every time. It could be from 2 hours after i injected it, to 6 hours. I went back then to the 5 , and it was the same thing. Ugh! I couldn't wait to get off it!

I miss my Byetta! I'm off it now w/ actively TTC. Maybe I'll be back on it after *hopefully* having a baby.

Good luck everyone - it really helped me! Still got my needles though... for insulin... and soon for injectables to try to get preggo

I have been on Byetta for 5 months with 1500mg of Glumetza. It makes me feel full but almost anorexic.

I've been on Byetta (5 mcg) for about 3 months now. I lost a little weight (5-10 pounds, haven't really been keeping track), but the thing that I really like is that I actually get full. I don't feel like I have to eat until I'm in pain to feel full. I eat like a normal person! It's amazing. I think that this will help me transition to eating even less once I have LapBand surgery in January.

Another thing is that I just feel BETTER. I don't feel like sitting and watching Law and Order reruns all day. I actually want to do things like ride my bike to campus.

There is one other thing that I noticed. As long as I can remember, I have not been able to grow my fingernails out. My mom always had long nails (not gross long, but a decent length so she could still type and play piano). Mine always peeled like crazy, so I kept them really short. Now, since I have been on Byetta, I can grow them out nicely. I even get compliments from my friends. Some sort of body chemistry must have balanced out, because this is crazy. I like it. I feel more feminine.
