Is anyone taking this combination?? I am on 5mcg of Byetta as well as Glumetza 2000mg and getting a little frustrated b/c the weight loss with this combination is not as fast as it was when i first just started taking Glumetza. I know that your body gets used to a medication and it slacks off so my doctor added the Byetta but I still am not seeing the results that I want. I dont take 1000 early in the day and 1000 at night because when I am at work I get so scared about my tummy acting up and having to "go", so I have been taking all 2000 at night and I wonder if this is affecting how well it works.

Anyone have any suggestions or any experiences they can share about taking these two at the same time?

I do the same thing you do. My first 40 lbs fell off and now I am at a stand still with 50 more to lose.

I was just prescribed byetta today and they upped my metformin to 2000 mgs a day. I haven't taken my first dose...so scared that it's going to make me nauseous. The doc kept talking about it and said it would subside after the 2nd month.
