So, I saw my endo today, and she suggested we might be trying it in the near future on me, its VERY new, was just approved by the FDA in May.. anyone know anything about it? I'm very intrigued, it appears to work miracles. Now, its an injection, which kinda sucks, but whaddya do.. anyway.. the website is

I have been on Byetta for about 5-6 wks now and I have lost approx 30 pounds. I had put a post on here back then to see if anyone had any info. The shot really makes you have a small appetite. I have noticed that. I don't have the big drops I used to and most all of my clothes are too big now. I don't know if it is a miracle but it seems to be working here. I would make sure your insurance will cover it because it is not cheap. Without insurance I think it would have cost me around 150 for a month.

Actually, I did check, and my insurance does cover it. $50 for three months. Woo! YAy for corporate insurance. And I don't even know if the endo will put me on it, she just thought I'd be interested to hear about it, and I certainly was! If she does put me on it, fine and dandy, if not, new information to file away in my head.
