Default Is Byetta or Phentermine available here in Oz?

Does anyone know if Byetta or phentermine is available here in Australia? I am desperate to try something else as Metformin is preventing me from loosing any more weight

Alternatively, is it possible to order it from the US and if so do you need a script from your Doctor?

TIA!

Hi, I've just looked them up on the computer here at work (in a pharmacy) and Byetta (under that spelling) isn't available but Phentermine is available as a private script. There are three strengths 15mg, 30mg and 40mg. The approx prices in Qld are 15mg - $99.20, 30mg - $103.75 and 40mg - $109.80. They are each in packs of 30, I don't know what the dose would be. If you are in a private health fund, you would be able to claim around $60 back. Good luck, Donna.

Thanks for looking them up for me Donna. Sigh. I was so hoping the byetta was available here, I can't afford the phentermine, and I am not so sure that it would be the answer anyway to my weight loss, but I figured it was worth a try if it wasn't too expensive.
