Default Byetta question about insurance

For the people that have used Byetta, I have a question. Was it covered by your insurance companies?

I'm getting ready to see a doctor that is using this therapy. I checked my insurance company's website and didn't see anything on it.

Since Byetta is fairly new, it may fall under the "non-preferred" category of your insurance's formulary--I know it does mine. (I have a $50 co-pay on it, and I work for a pharmacy!!!) You may want to call your insurance directly since you can't find anything on their website. If it isn't covered, see if your md has any coupons for it. I believe I've seen a trial coupon for a one month supply of Byetta.

Love and light
