How long before you noticed a decrease in your appetite? I just started today. What other side effects have you had and were they unbearable to the point that you stopped the medication? I have a mild headache right now. Not sure if it's related to Byetta or the breathing treatment the dr gave me today (I've never had one before) or if I would have gotten it anyway. I tend to think I wouldn't have though because I rarely ever have headaches. Well, thanks for any info. I'm excited and hoping to lose some weight on this medicine.

I have been taking byetta for 2 1/2 months now. The appetite suppression started right away. The nausea also started right away and hasn't subsided.

There are a lot of foods that I don't tolerate very well, red meat, dairy potatoes, the one thing that I seem to tolerate is sugar and
regular coke which I feel is counterproductive.

I have lost 15 pounds though and it does seem to keep my blood sugar stable.
