Call already

So, I had my insulin/glucose blood work and an ultrasound a week ago today. I called my doc to see what the results were today and they took my number and said she'd call me back. That was at 9 this morning and I was at work. so at 4:45 I hadn't gotten a call so I called back and they said she was still seeing patients and that she would call later. I told them I'd be home after 6 and made sure they have my number.

it's now 6:40 and no call. I am thinking of calling again, but I don't want to be a nuisance.

I'm afraid she won't call me tonight and I feel like I'm going to freak out if I don't get my results soon. I want to start managing this with Met asap and I'm just so anxious!

should I call again? Help!

I hate this type of situation. It is like we dont care what our labs were. I hope you have gotten the call by now.

I'm really irritated. She never called.

Ok my doctor just called me at 8 PM. My glucose and Insulin came back "normal" but she said the ratio between them pointed to PCOS. So I got that as a diagnosis for sure (she had diagnosed already but wanted to see what the blood work said.)

Anyway, the thing that has be worried is that she said I have a 3-1/3 centimeter mass on my right ovary ( she didn't say cyst) and she wants me to come in and discuss what this can be and our options about it. I'm worried. Is 3-1/2 centimeters huge and if it is, what would normally be done for it? I've been having pain issues for the last 3 weeks that aren't getting better, only increasingly worse.

I'm such a worrywort!

I dont think 3.5 cm is that big. I am not sure though. It probably is a cyst that could be treated with bcp's I would think. If it is something other than a cyst I am not sure about.

Glad the sugar/insulin was normal however it led to your diagnosis and that is good. You may still would benefit from met. I would ask just what the numbers were.

Well, I had my appointment today. My doctor says she suspects it is a dermoid cyst. She is going to review the films and discuss it with the radiologist and then call me. she wants to remove it, which is fine with me.
I feel much better about it.

My bloodwork came back normal. My fasting insulin was 12 and my glucose was 87. She prescribed Met anyway, since I have most all of the symptoms of PCOS. We'll see how it goes.

Though Im going to have surgery, I'm feeling much better about this.

Glad you got an answer and you are on the right track with being on Met.
