quick question--i had read that some women take a week break on vitex (not really sure why they did...). have or do any of you do that? i've been on vitex for about a month and am wondering if should take a week's break or keep taking it.

I take a break here and there...but not until after many months of taking it. usually 6 months or more. But its only when I feel like im not feeling the benefits of it anymore.
If you have only been taking it for 1 month i would not take a break...its too soon...If I were you I would keep on taking it for a few more months and see how it helps you if it does and then decide then if a break is right for you.

Praying For a Soy Joy!! TTC number 2 . Trying with vitex, soy and cinnamon. Throw in a little black and blue cohosh, epo, licorice and dong quai all for good measure.
Has anyone seen AF? She is MIA, if you find her please send her my way. Trying to move on to cycle number 2 of TTC #2

Depends on your bottle..ive debated on taking 1600mgs because some others do but my bottle says 1200..I would say if in a few months maybe 2 or soo if you think something is working and you need a lil more give it a shot but for now I wouldnt up it because 1200 might be enough for you.

I am thinking about taking Soy tonight, for the next 5 days.... to jump start an O' and maybe get an AF..... what is your opinion... have any of you girls used Soy to start your cycle?

you know what...i fibbed! i'm taking 1600 mgs once a day. my bottle calls for 1600 twice a day, but i felt like that was too much and wanted to start at a lower dose.

Soy doesn't work for me for some reason. However clomid does wonders. I have tried soy 2x and all it did was make my wacky cycle even more wacky. However I have heard that it works very well for several people so I say its worth a try so you can get on with starting on a new cycle. Have you used it before???

Well, I took Soy for a few days, then stopped... because I heard you couldn't take it with Vitex... I haven't taken my Vitex today, because I am debating the Soy....
Years ago, I took Phyto Estrogen daily for months, my cycles were back on track, I lost weight... and when I ran out, I was still regular for 3 yrs, and my weight stayed off, but..... all of a sudden that came to a hult... weight came back on, AF stopped... and PCOS symptoms arrived... now.... I think it is like taking Soy daily, and probably was working like a birth control pill... who knows. I wasn't TTC back then, just wanted regular AF.

How are you taking your vitex? Are you taking it once, twice, three times a day?
I take it all at once. I heard it was best to take in the morning because it works with your pituitary gland. but when i first started taking vitex i took i 3 times per day and it worked the same as it is now so who knows
