Which came first, the depression or the PCOS? And my pdoc rocks! I've had depression and anxiety on and off for 8 years now. I always thought my weight gain was due to antidepressants, and couldn't figure out why it was so hard to lose.
My psychiatrist wonders whether, once my PCOS is under control (hopefully) my mood will improve...I suppose that would make sense, as hormones play a huge role in mood!
I just wonder whether my depression and anxiety was CAUSED by PCOS. For example, if something is up with my adrenal glands, that could easily cause anxiety...
Odd to think that perhaps for 8 years I have suffered from what I thought was an out-of-the-blue illness....still guess we shall see.
I should mention at this point, that my psychiatrist is the best doctor for wanting to get my 'physical' ailments straightened out. She's just the best. She is so encouraging, and always telling me how much potential I have, and how we'll 'fix' this. lol
