Melanie,
Are you taking liquid or pill form for your vitex. I tried the pills before with out any results so I switched to liquid. I really think it is starting to work now. I am so excited!!!
I'm taking the pill form. I haven't been taking it that long yet well I was last month but I didn't see any difference because I was taking provera to bring on AF and the I had a real long AF so hopefully this month I'll see something changing. How long to you think I should take it for before I should see results or maybe switch if I don't?

From reading other posts, I think that the response time can range from very short to several months. I don't know why that is, but they say that you should give herbs time to build up in your system. I would just keep doing what you are doing. My doctor gave me Provera about the same time I started the liquid vitex and it took a whopping one 5 mg pill to get af going after not having her for a few months. I took that as a sign my body is trying to do the right thing and that the vitex was helping. Last time I took Provera it took the whole 10 day cycle and then 4 more days to get AF. I also like the liquid because I just put it in my juice in the a.m. and I don't have to swallow a bunch more pills. I am getting a little burnt out on pill swallowing.
I just wanted to add that I just read somewhere that vitex can begin to balance hormones in as little as 10 days but can take up to 6 months to reach its full effect.
I know what you mean when I took provera before this lastime I would have to take it for 10days then AF would show up until 14days after the last pill but this time around i was taking vitex also and AF came 7 days earlier I think the vitex helped. I just hope something happens for me this month.
