Can Anyone see if they experience these symptoms too!!??
I find it difficult to be outside in the heat it makes me very dizzy and thirsty. I'm also hungry alot! I also find it hard to excercise with out being dizzy. Is this all part of PCOS and if so how do I stop it? Will I lose any wieght naturally or will I have to work for all of it? Because my gyno said that it will eventually start coming off. I went on a strict diet for a while and excercised alot and gained 20 pounds, so this is starting to scare me. Thanks
Thirst, Dizziness & Hunger are symptoms of Low Blood Sugar. Are you diabetic or pre-diabetic? Are you taking any medications that can be causing these side effects?
If you have PCOS & insulin resistance, you probably will not lose weight naturally. If you do, it will probably be temporary. Have you considered Metformin? Most PCOSers lose weight & keep it off w/ Met.
Good luck & welcome to s.c.

I had a lot of problems with dizziness last year. I've known for quite awhile that I was hypoglycemic, but when I got dizzy exercising in air conditioning, I knew something strange was going on. It ultimately led to my PCOS diagnosis. Try taking as much sugar and processed carbs out of your diet as possible & add more protein to your diet. Because it has been far too hot this year, try working out in the AC or in a pool. Make sure that you eat something with protein an hour or so before you exercise. Have you been checked for insulin resistance?

It sounds like insulin resistance.
You don't have to have low blood sugars for these symptoms. IR will do it to you as well.
Watch your symptoms about an hour after eating. If you get tired, dizzy or just not feeling right, you prob are IR or worse...diabetic.
Either way, you need to be tested.Make sure they do a 4 hr fasting glucose test seperate from the diabeties testing.(two totally dif tests--two different results)

Thanks to everyone who answered. I still havent figured out how to work around this site very well though! I'm going to see a specialist soon and I have hope he can help me and take the tests that I need.
And as someone else mentioned, if you have PCOS, the weight is NEVER just going to drop off naturally by itself. You will always have to work for it, and always have to work to keep it off!
That's the horrendous truth.
