I had an MRI back in June and I was told my right ovary is twice the size as my left one and that each ovary contains multiple cysts.
Now I just had an ultrasound this month and it comes back as normal...Is this possible???
I don't understand how all of a sudden my ovaries have gone back to normal when the rest of my body is still all messed up in regards to cycles and hormones...
I could really use someone to talk to cause no one around here understands what the heck is going on with me... Sometimes I don't even understand.
Thanks
Karrie

Yes, the cysts can disappear / go away either by being reabsorbed or by bursting.
As for the size of your ovaries now being "normal", I would want to know what they consider normal. But I'm sure that they would be smaller if they no longer had all the cysts.
Thanks very much for that information.. my gyne never told me that...he isn't the best....actually in my opinion he is the worst... He wouldn't even refer me to and reproductive endo....
From what I gather when they say "normal" size they meant that both ovaries are the same size and normal in appearance...
That just makes everything that much more confusing... The cysts are gone but the pain is still extremely there and there is no regularity in my cycles...
I family doctor was kind enough to refer me to an Endo in toronto ... I go at the end of March... so hopefully she will have some kind of answers for me..
Thanks again for the reply

Karrie,
Good luck with the Endo in TO. Hopefully he/she will have better information that your Gyno.
I would also recommend that you get a copy of the test results (blood, x-ray and u/s) so that you can see what they are for yourself.
