I am sorry if this question has been asked on here, but can exercising and eating more healthy bring on your period? I have started going to the gym for about a week and I have been watching what I have been eating. I think this has happened to me before. I was going for about a week. did not have my period and then after exercising for about a week..poof there it was.
It not heavy period. I would say it light-medium. Last time I had my period was in may then i skipped June and now I got it. Any response would be appreciated.

The short answer = Definately. If you are feeding your body the foods it needs and keeping fit and healthy, then its sure to respond with a regular cycle!

It hasn't happened for me yet...I've lost almost 20 lbs (although slowing to almost nothing lately as my focus has been on other things).
Sounds like you're doing great though! Keep up the good work!

I hope so! That would be great because I've just started working out again after some health problems. I'm not sure about when I was working out before because I was taking Clomid.

I believe that working out helps regulate your body. I was working out and having normal periods about a year ago, and when I stopped exercising my periods stopped and thats when I was diagnosed with possible PCOS.
Yes, I've had the same experience. I was on BCP for a couple of years and then got off of them, and I found that if (and only if) I exercised, my period would come regularly.
Yes!! It's worked for me. Good for you for doing this, keep it up!

Yes! But it could be a mix of things. When you exercise you are not only losing weight but is certainly helps to regulate your hormones. So it you lose weight and still not having shorter cycles then try exercise. Studies have shown if you lose 10% of your weight it will help shorten your cycle with PCOS.
