My Mood: Points: 3,201.50 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 3,201.50 | Can family dr prescribe met? I've just had a bunch of tests, including a glucose tolerance test. My new family dr is wonderful and has been THE best dr I've seen regarding PCOS. He really knows his stuff and is really on the ball with everything. I have an appointment next week to go over my test results.
I also have an appointment in July with my new ob/gyn to discuss my fertility issues.
So, will I have to wait until July to get treatment or will my family dr be able to prescribe treatment for me? I'm sure he'll probably let the ob/gyn deal with things like clomid and other fertility issues, but could he prescribe met?
Just wondering.

My Mood: Points: 3,201.50 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 3,201.50 | My dr. used to work in obstetrics and he has many patients with PCOS. In fact, he acted as though I was one of the easier cases he's dealt with. I have my appointment on Thursday. Let's hope he prescribes met for me then. I'm tired of playing the waiting game. |

Points: 1,342.89 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 1,342.89 | I've had primary care physicians who were comfortable with writing refills, who didn't want to deal with PCOS/met, and who were find with treating me - though I don't know that they would be if I didn't just tell them what I wanted to do (a little scary).
