I tried gluc xr a couple of months ago for about 2 weeks and had alot of hypoglycemia and diarreah on it.Well now that im pre diabetic im thinking of giving gluc another shot.I also cannot take spironolactone anymore because im allergic to it and now my face,neck and chest are breaking out again and my facial hair(long white hairs all over)is getting thicker so i wanted to know if glucophage really does help the androgen problem.Has anyone had a big improvement on glucophage with the acne and hair?My skin is very oily lately too.

Hi frenchiebull!

I've been on Metformin for 3 1/2 months and I noticed in my 2nd month that my face was so clear. I even got AF and only had 2 spots on my face. It's new to me because I break out on my face, chest and back constantly, but ALL clear now!

I haven't noticed any slow down in the hair, one can only hope. I'm mainly on Met to help me lose some weight and conceive, but I would love if I could see better results in other problem areas as well.
