That works - for new threads. For threads that you have already subscribed to they will continue to be in your email box.

sorry - I was wrong. I think I changed a preference for when I subscribe to threads that they don't automatically email me... I can't remember where that was at. The instructions you gave were correct - and they did stop emails for the current subscribed threads.
