Yes, you can take Met with Vitex and many cysters do (I do). As far as other herbs, please keep in mind that interactions between herbs and prescription meds aren't studied much so there's no way to know for sure about all of them. One natural supplement, psyllium husks (i.e. Metamucil), used as a fiber supplement, has been shown to inhibit the effectiveness of Met, and should be taken at least 3 hours before or after taking Met.

Be sure to check out the sticky at the top of the page about supplement interactions with Met.

Oops, editing to say that I just realized that sticky is no longer there. I'll try to search for that thread and post it for you.

Other meds: Verapamil and Altace(for blood pressure)

Another beautiful cyster had posted this site, however, I'm not sure it lists herb interactions. I've never heard of vitex, and when I tried the search for you re: the vitex, it didn't come up, you may have better luck.
