I was curious... see.. because men dont have a menstral cycle and PCOS is heriditary is it possible that men who have the syndrome aren't diagnosed as having anything wrong until diabetes sets in?
My mothers side of the family is where I got my PCOS from.. My mother has some of the symptoms and always had trouble carrying to term... My aunt had endless problems and was never diagnosed but we think she might have it too.. (she's big, hairy and had painful periods... trouble concieving too... sounds like PCOS huh?).. my grandfather has type two diabetes and it runs in that side of the family (all brothers.. only one sister and I don't know much about her)... so... what does everyone think? Is it possible that this could affect not just women and if so.. shouldn't that be a concern? Poor men.. no telltale signs... still.. at least it doesn't seem to do as much damage in them.. if they get it at all.

Men can also inherit the genetic abnormality that in women would lead to PCOS. In men, the testicles continue to produce testosterone throughout life, and can lead to complications. Additionally, it is usually called syndrome X in men
