Default Can my Met be causing my Headaches?

I've been taking Met for like 2 years or something like that. I've not changed how much or anything. But this summer I've not been eating as great as I should.

I've been eating more sugars, like ice cream. It's hot out and I love Ice Cream.

Well I've been getting dull headaches. They started right after I changed to new contacts. Eye Doc checked the back of my eyes and said my eyes were great and everything is good there.

I've even been to my chiropractor about it. He thinks it's might be stress...but everything is stress to him. (he's great though)

I'm starting to wonder if it's not my diet with the Met??

I felt fine yesterday, then last night I had Dairy Queen. I woke up this morning with the headache.

I'm really going to start watching what I eat with it.

But should I be worried? Do I maybe need to go see my GP about it??

I've been getting regular headaches and migraines since I was about 14. Since being diagnosed with PCOS I've come round to thinking that they were probably early symptoms, but my DR just stuck me on three types of meds and sent me away. I got sick of rattling around with all these pills inside me and stopped taking them. I still get headached but I found and over the counter pain relief med that helps out just fine. Although I think mine are hormonal I have been told by various people that there are types of food that can cause headaches, and dairy is one of them, aswell as strawberries and chocolate. Try to switch the dairy queen for an ice pop and see if it makes a difference.

HTH,
Dannie.

If you are worried about them, I would see your Dr, but this is screaming blood sugar issues to me. Headaches are a very common side effect of having too low blood sugar.

Think about it. You spiked your insulin with a higher fat/carb meal. Your body raised your insulin to lower your blood sugar. Then you went all night without eating. Your blood sugar dropped all night.

I would be willing to bet your headache is blood sugar related. I would definetly call your Doc if you suspect something else, but if you commonly eat high carb or don't eat enough protien and fibre, your sugars will get too low as a result. efinetly eat to control your insulin and it will be a like a new drug.

Take care!

Well I ate more protein and less carbs on Sat and Sunday but still had a headache. So I went to the doc and he' thinking a sinus infection or migraine. So he's treating both and we'll see from there.
