Question Can NPC and Vitex be used at the same time?

Unfortunately I had a m/c last month, which was followed by a D&C (03/19).

Since then I have not stopped bleeding. The bleeding is something I have never experienced before. Sometimes it is red, sometimes it is brown, sometimes it is bleeding, sometimes it is spotting and sometimes there is nothing at all. It keeps on changing through-out the day and does not seem to stop anytime soon.

My doc does not know anymore what to do. Progesterone (Duphaston) only worked for two days and then I went back to the same "routine". The next step will be another D&C and a possible Laparoscopy (with ovarian drilling), but both my doc and I are trying to avoid that.

Now my question is: Can I use NPC and Vitex at the same time? Or do they cancel each other? I read somewhere that Vitex helps with progesterone, so I thought that I might give it a try.

Any comments, please?

Thank you and lots of love to all my beautifyl cysters ~

Shaima

Sorry to hear about your m/c. I haven't taken vitex but I actually went to the GNC store tonight to get some and they were out. I've been using NPC (Natural Progesterone Cream) for about 6 months now and am having a "regular" cycle now. Which I've never had before. According to Dr. Lee in his book What your doctor may not tell you about Premenopause you can use vitex and NPC at the same time. I'm not totally sure when you should use it though. I'm definately going to try using it. Even though I'm having a regular cycle it's a 20 day cycle and I would like it to be a little longer so I'm hoping that the combo will help. Good luck to you!

I had trouble using NPC and Vitex together about 4 months ago. My cycles on the vitex are about 45 days and I ovulate around cd30. I have been taking Femaprin (vitex/B6) since Dec. 02.

When using them together I was spotting off and on. I guess they were working against one another to regulate things. I thought that using the NPC could help shorten my cycles instead of having 45 day ones, but I guess that is the norm for me. I do ovulate every time with the vitex and my PMS symptoms are getting less and less each time and corresponding more with ovulation. I was also using the NPC before ovulation, so that could have been a factor also.

If you know that you are ovulating then using the NPC right around or afterwards shouldn't cause any problem. I still use the NPC for PMS headaches and for sore breast by applying it to those areas when needed.

Good Luck!
