Default Can provera be bad for you?

Hello cysters
I'd love to hear about people's experiences taking provera.
I came off the pill three months ago and I'm still waiting for a period. I'm seeing a gynecologist on Tuesday and I reckon that he will give me provera. Or at least I hope so, as we're trying to conceive and not getting very far...
Have you ever heard that there is less chance of getting pregnant if you've relied on provera to stimulate your af than if you've waited to get it naturally?

Would love to hear from anyone in similar situation.

I just got off provera this week and my doctor (military gyno) told me that provera is not harmful. He said that it's safe to take it for up to 6 cycles then it would be time to try something else. It did not work for me the second time. I was prescribed 10 days of it and after 15 days...still no period. So he higher my dosage to 12 days and I'm on day 3 now. We'll see how that goes. I wish you the best of luck and hope that provera is successful for you.

Provera doesn't stimulate your cycle, it just forces it. You have a period, without having to ovulate. I don't see how that would help with a fertility issue. Can you explain the logic? I'm not getting it.

I have done Provera to start AF. It is not bad, BUT if you haven't had a period for a while, there can be a lot of bleeding. My OB told me it is like a chemical D/C. I bleed a ton. But it is a great jump start to your cycles.
