Default Can Rogaine Make You Grow A Mustache?

I'm thinking about trying rogaine for women but i've been reading a couple reviews about it and some women say it can cause facial hair and that the pamphlet said that there is a slight chance of facial hair growth in less than 10% of women. eeeek. I already have some whiskers and sideburns... I don't need more..

What do you ladies think ?

I have a friend who went through chemo and asked her doctor about women's Rogain and her told her the same thing. It could result in facial hair in women.

What's liable to happen is that the Rogaine can spread from the scalp to the face via your pillow. So it's generally areas other than the moustache which are most likely to be affected.

Having said that, you've got to weigh up the relative benefits of Rogaine against the possible side-effects. To my way of thinking, baldness is far more difficult to handle than possible beard and moustache growth. To me, it's simply a fact of life that I shave every day -- moustache and beard growth are easily controlled and the rest of the world doesn't have to know at all. So for me, the equation would be an easy one. Your feelings on the matter may, of course, be different.

I use Rogaine and haven't had a problem, many women use it also and don't have that problem. Yes, it can cause facial hair growth from what Joy said. Be sure to follow the directions carefully and not fall asleep with it still wet on your head. If you do gain the facial hair just stop using it and those hairs should fall out over time. I would rather tackle the loss of head hair and deal with a few strays then lose my "crowning glory".
