Default Can someone give me a list...

...of remedies or drugs, etc. that can help me ovulate??

I haven't yet started AF but I am hoping to soon (on CD78 today) and I would like to ovulate also without the help of Clomid. Dh and I are not looking to TTC right now but I would like to have AF and ovulate like a "normal" woman.

Any help would be great!!

P.S.

I don't get medical insurance until the first of the year (and the insurance sucks!!!) so it's got to be something I can self-medicate with.

Thank You!!!

Torie

There are so many choices for you!! I would try Vitex (Chasteberry) and maybe even natural progesterone cream. I am having success with the cream and I am taking something called Fertility Blend which contains lots of vitamins and Vitex. Both of these have dramatically helped my pratically non-existant cycles. I would also start charting your BBT's so you can see your progress. Good luck!

Can I start my BBT charting in the middle of a cycle? I'm on CD79 or so today can I just start??

I was a little apprehensive about charting right now due to being sick

I have Progesterone cream but I feel like I'm doing something wrong. Just taking some of it and rubbing in on my lower belly???? lol

hi Torie

you can start charting in the middle of a cycle it will help you get into the swing of taking yr temp for when you start a new cycle.
Try using fertility friend to chart yr temps its free for as long as you use it without the VIP features.
the progesterone cream you need to rotate where you rub it.On the soft areas of yr skin breasts, under upper arms etc..

hth

Thumbs up Tori

I have heard by some people that Blue Cohosh and Saw Palmetto can help... I have read up on them, and this is what I have found.

Saw Palmetto is a hormone herb; and has a good effect on all diseases of the reproductive organs in both males and females, benefits all glandular tissue, and helps to rid body of excess mucus from head, sinus & lungs. Also has been used for the following: asthma, diabetes, regulating hormones, bronchitis, colds&flu, and etc...

Blue Cohosh is used to regulate and bring on suppressed menstrual flow, contains good amounts of potassium, calcium, iron, silicon and phosphorus. Also has been used for bladder infections, urinary problems, menstrual problems, diabetes, blood purifier, childbirth, alkalizes blood, high blood pressure, and etc...

I hope this helps a bit.

I have read somewhere that Vitamin B6 is good to help with fertility so you might consider taking this as well, even if your not really ttc but then again not stopping it either.

Hi Torie,

Yes, you do need to rotate the sites of application (inner arms/thighs, face, neck, breasts, chest, soles of feet, palms, etc - anywhere you have thin skin with visible veins showing). Use 1/4 tsp night and day for 14 days then you go off the cream for 14 days. Keep doing this until AF shows (which it may take a month or two so don't get discouraged - I took a month). Then after AF shows you use the cream AFTER O (which can be tricky since you're irregular but if you're charting temps this will help you out some) and continue for another 14 days. Never use the cream while on AF. Hope this helps you out! Good luck!

You girls are so awesome!!!!!!!!

Cycloness~

Are these over the counter products? Can I get them at GNC or a place like that??

nicola~

Thanks for the help on Progesterone cream. I think I still have some left... I hope!!

helenquinn~

Thanks for the heads up about Vitamin B6. The only thing I cannot take is Iron!!! I get SOOOOO constipated when I take it. That's why I had to stop Pre-Natal's and take One Daily's instead!

You guys are so helpful, thank you all!!!

sassy25~

So I use only 1/4 tsp? That doesn't seem like enough...lol. So I put it on my lower belly in the morning and then maybe on my inner thigh that night and just keep rotating between a few spots for 14 days? Then I stop for 14 days and then start again and do tha rotation until AF comes. I think I got it!!

I find it helps to be charting your temps when you take progesterone cream.
Technically, you shouldn't take the cream between the start of af and until AFTER you o. If you start it before, it can suppress ovulation.

Good luck!
