Default Can someone help me figure this out?

I've found somewhere that does a 70g bottle of NPC that dispenses 20mg with each pump.
It says to use this cream on the 12th day of my cycle through to the 27th day.

My question is, if I were to use it like this, how long would one 70g bottle last?

Hugs

I think the 70g is referring to the total weight of the cream in the package. And the 20mg is referring to the dosage of progesterone dispensed in each pump. There isn't 70g of progesterone in your bottle of cream so you really can't convert the two to determine how many dosages you would be able to get out of one pump. If you knew how much one pump of cream weighed then you could determine how many dosages you could get out of that one bottle. Was this what you were asking about? Well, I hope this helps a little bit.

I read that the bottle dispenses 20mg with every pump. I'm just not sure how long this would last if I were to use it twice a day.
How often would I have to buy another bottle etc?

I'm not sure about grams, but a 3 oz. bottle usually lasts me about 4 mos. - but I don't use as much cream as it says on the bottle. More like a full pump once a day, or 1/2 pump twice a day. Also, the directions on the bottle often are geared towards menopausal women. For ovulating women, you would use 3 days past confirmed ovulation. Using progesterone cream most of the time prevents ovulation. So unless you were doing a shutdown (which you would start around cd7), always use after ovulation.

HTH!

The 20mg refers to the dosage of progesterone in one pump of the cream, not the WEIGHT of the cream itself(because there are other "fillers" in the cream as well). The 70g of the bottle is the total weight of the package. If you were to try to use these two numbers to determine how many doses were in one bottle it would be something like 3500 pumps (1000mg = 1g) or something which DOES NOT sound right. Each pump of cream probably weighs about 1g so if you used 2 pumps a day it would probably last about 35 days. HTHs

Thank you So I'll buy a new bottle every month

Yeah I tried to work it out like that and it came up as 3500 days usage, I thought "Blimey that's good for £15!" hahaha but no, I did realise it wasn't quite right, perhaps just a little bit off? lol

Cheers xx
